Colorado Jam Tunes
Here is a collection of jam tunes that we have played (or at least wanted to!) here in our Colorado dulcimer community, all as PDF sheet music files. Over the years, our out of town guests have contributed to this collection, and youʼll see some of their work here. As we have other guests, weʼll add their tunes to the collection.
We are making this music available to facilitate further fun jamming at the festival and other Colorado dulcimer events, as well as to make it possible for you to join with players of other instruments at jams in your hometown. Itʼs our goal to have standard music notation, chords, and mountain dulcimer tablature for all tunes. I wish this could be an exhaustive compendium of all the music you would encounter in a jam, but alas, we must start somewhere, so if you are new to jamming, hereʼs a place to start. Work on some of these tunes and weʼll be able to play together at the festival. You may already know many of them, and have different settings of them - this is fine - use whatever you like best. If these tunes are old hat for you, you likely know how to research other tunes to learn and bring to us at the festival.
